Millbrae Barbershop sits at 5 Civic Center Lane, between Trader Joe's and Baskin-Robbins, in a shop that has been cutting hair on this block since 1909 and was previously known as Frank Pisa's Barbershop. It is run today by Vik the Barber, who kept the chairs and the way the work gets done.
Between the chairs there is over fifty years of barbering, and nothing here gets rushed through. A Style Cut gets thirty minutes because that is what scissor work and a proper fade actually take. Beard work is booked separately because it adds time, not because it is an upsell. If the last cut was three months ago, there is a service built for that too.

The Style Cut plus beard or goatee work. Straight blade on the temples through mid-cheek, foil shaver from the jawline down.

Straight Blade Shave
Hot lather from the sideburns down, wrapped in a hot scented towel, then a gel straight blade shave finished with cooling aftershave and a cold towel.
Buzz cuts from $25, seniors 65 and up at $30, kids from $45. Sunday, after hours and house call appointments are available by arrangement.
